HISTORIC HACIENDA 1
This is one of the few haciendas that survived the revolution that still continue their activity of sugar production. The hacienda has had several owners over the centuries including the government. In 2015, it was taken again as a private initiative where a great effort has been made for its conservation.

The valleys of the Morelense region where Xochitepec is located were occupied by man since prehistoric times. In the sixteenth century, when the area was invaded by the Spanish alliance, the economic life of Xochitepec was governed by the control of aqueducts, dams, suspension bridges, and granaries.

This hacienda offers you 6 rooms with bathroom, which are usually occupied by the bride, groom and their closest family. In the immediate, neighboring area you can find other haciendas and hotels that offer lodging for your guests. The lush gardens filled with huge trees, adorned with bougainvillea and framed by beautiful old facades and a centenary chapel, offer you the most romantic and elegant space to celebrate your event.

The hacienda has wonderful spaces to create a magical event. For religious rites, it offers the chapel of Our Lady of Guadalupe with capacity for up to 200 people and for civil ceremonies there are spaces such as the Hall of Swallows, the Monks’ Hall, the Atrium and the Arcángeles Hall.

Was built in 1542 and financed by the Spanish Crown. It has exuberant gardens, crystal clear water currents, spacious facilities and a large aqueduct that allowed it to increase its sugar production. This hacienda was part of Cortes’ wealth and was in the hands of his heirs until the beginning of the twentieth century.

Yautepec, one of 33 municipalities in the state of Morelos, is an important tourist destination for its perserved structures from the Villeinado period and archaeological ruins of the pre-hispanic period. Among its tourist destinations we find the Hacienda de Cocoyoc, built in the sixteenth century, which has been transformed without losing its attributes that earned it the moniker of “The Paradise of America” by the first Viceroy of New Spain, Antonio de Mendoza.

The hacienda offers a 4-star hotel with 52 comfortable rooms, a chapel for your ceremony, several beautiful spaces framed with a high-style architecture where you can offer events from 50 people up to 300 people. The hacienda is designed with the Spanish technique of half-barrel vaults and circular walls very common in the architecture of the sixteenth century. The natives of the area share that the hacienda was occupied by important national heroes such as Vicente Guerrero and Agustín de Iturbide, who together schemed to make the latter the president of the Mexico.

The buildings of the sugar refinery were also built in stone. Its walls are 72″ thick and its Viceroyal style arches give an apt example of the challenges they faced. In 1947 this majestic location opened its doors to the public and established itself as a prestigious hotel.
