Cuetzalan, Puebla

Nestled in the Sierra Norte de Puebla, among coffee plantations and leafy vegetation, is the peculiar Magical Town of Cuetzalan. It was incorporated into the tourism system of Magical Towns in 2002 for its development of indigenous life, with a large number of inhabitants who still preserve their way of life, highlighted by the anthropological value of the extensive market that rises on Sundays. Cuetzalan is coffee country, so if you are a lover of this brew, you must stay in one of the cabins within the eleven hectares of the Blue Reserve, where the most aromatic coffees of Mexico are grown. You can also visit the archaeological zone of Yohualichan, 7km from the town, which in its heyday was part of the Totonacapan (name given to the extension of the Totonac people territory) of pre-Hispanic Mexico. The wide cobbled streets of the town seem to have stopped in time and will make for perfect, vintage photos.
